  Exploring Kyoto Train Museum: A Journey Through Railway History. The Umekoji railway Museum is a railway museum located in Kyoto, Japan. It is situated in Umekoji Park, near Kyoto station, and it is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of the railways in Japan.  It is situated on the sight of the former Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum, which was established in 1972 and I went the in March 2023. The museum has been refurbished and has undergone considerable developments with the addition of the main hall and it now showcases an even wider range of railway-related artifacts, exhibits, and restored locomotives, offering visitors an immersive experience into the world of Japanese railways. From vintage steam engines to futuristic bullet trains, the new Kyoto Train Museum is an exciting destination for enthusiasts, families, and old English teachers like me.
